Type: Part-Time (24-30 Hours/Week) | Location: Boca Raton /Hybrid  | Rate: TBD

THE ROLE: The Coordinator coordinates and delivers Scholar Career Coaching's College and Career Readiness Program for high school students. This position coordinates individualized coaching, facilitates workshops, supports post-secondary planning, and helps students achieve key college and career readiness milestones. Working closely with the Student Success Team, the College & Career Readiness Coordinator helps create a supportive and engaging experience that prepares students for success after high school.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and facilitate college and career readiness programming at partner schools.
  • Lead workshops on college planning, FAFSA, scholarships, career exploration, resume writing, interview preparation, and student success topics.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching to help students develop and achieve their college and career goals as needed.
  • Monitor student participation, progress, and key program outcomes while maintaining accurate documentation for reporting purposes. 
  • Collaborate with the Student Success Team, Mentoring Program Manager, Teacher Advisors, school counselors, volunteers, and community partners to support student success.
  • Communicate and support important events to students and parents (ie: Orientations, family engagement, and mentoring activities throughout the academic year). 
  • Plan and coordinate student events, including college tours, College Decision Day, mock interviews, college fairs, and other college and career readiness activities.
  • Represent Scholar Career Coaching at partner schools, community events, and meetings as needed.
  • Travel to partner schools throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
  • Perform other related duties that support Scholar Career Coaching's mission.
  • Assisting with other projects as needed to support Scholar CC’s mission.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in primary/secondary education, college and career preparation programs, youth-focused nonprofit organizations, student affairs, or other youth-related fields. All qualified applicants are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage and motivate high school students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Foster a positive, welcoming environment for students and parents. 
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and student data management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Be dependable and punctual (something to this skill and track record). 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for school visits and meetings
